Typically in MMO's leveling crafting doesn't tend to produce anything actually relevant. Will this be different in AOC? Will it be worthwhile and useful to the leveling masses to craft items/gear for levels 10, 20 , 30, 40?
Will the crafting professions be able to make gear at the same time the average population reaches those levels?

Show; don't tell.
I hope they get inspiration from Runescape and OSRS and have something similar: Amazing professions that impact the game in every aspect of the game, involved in questing too AND that boss monsters drop components that you have to use on already good weapons to improve.
From what I've read AoC intends to lock characters into specific trade classes and their associated recipes/knowledge trees.
I don't enjoy that aspect of crafting because it makes me create multiple characters to level up the trade skills I want.
I know people will encourage me to barter with other players for stuff I want, but in practice most games just have people leveling up multiple characters and the perfect symbiotic trade system never materializes.
It'd be nice if you could level multiple trade classes on a character, maybe with some sort of quest chain or difficult trial to unlock more classes beyond the first.
That's my thoughts either way. The game is looking promising so far!
You can definitely level multiple trade classes on a character, @Ransel.
You just won’t be able to fully specialize in multiple trade classes on a character. We already know that from the Wiki.
That’s probably bad news for you … but we don’t know yet how Intrepid is going to roll out account-wide crafting.
If you can specialize in different trades on other characters, then it merely comes down to how many character slots are on your account.
Bottom Line: Remember that Ashes is a MMORPG. You participating with other players in a thriving economy is more important than you having all crafting trades optimized.
Which is something Steven has emphasized in various monthly developer updates and other social media.
Your character can choose multiple professions within an artisan class, but you won't be able to be a master in multiple trees.
