What is the likelihood we will have wear over time be a feature for gear?

With the advent of the weather system, partnered with UE5, players can really feel like a major part of the world. One feature that hasn't really been explored in many games is the gradual wear and tear to armor and gear over time. Even in very modern games, players can be in combat and come out the other side of it with no impact whatsoever to their gear. With a game like AoC, it's clear that the developers have made a commitment to making a more immersive universe than ever seen before. With all that said, is the back end at a point where a feature like armor wear and tear is something feasible, and will it be something we might see in the near future, or is this still a far off fantasy?
