DC, i'm gonna need for you to log out for me...

In my opinion ESO PvP is the best there is. (When there's no lag and no insane combat changes from incompetent developers). I miss videos like this though! :')

ESOs PvP is like a high C for me.

I have so many fun memories in Cyrodiil the past 8 years or so. Unfortunately the developers have butchered the classes over and over since launch (Recent Update 35 is a good example).

Played it since BETA. It’s too different from the franchise and it bothers me.

I play return of reckoning private server, the way they deal with aoe is that melee aoe stacks and ranged aoe does not stack. Otherwise you can just get mages from a safe distance all bombing around the corners without needing to commit to the fight.

Zerging can be an issue in the game, if a raid size is 40 players I'd argue it may be a good idea to have things in game to try and reduce the number of 40 player raid groups stacking on top of each other, whatever that is, multiple objectives, a debuff for stacking on another raid group etc.

To me "ball grouping" will always be part of a large PvP game is just about whether it can have back a forth gameplay within that. If you are in a 40 man raid group, you are always going to be moving as a ball. I wouldn't say "ball grouping" is a bad thing

If you are in a large scale PvP situation, aoe skills will be the ones most used simply makes sense given the situation and single target skills mostly best in small scale situations, maybe for bursting healers at the back.

I think tanks need some stacking stances. For aoe medigation in itself.

Hard to form a front line if you have to respect your spacing or get nuked 5 times in the same second.... if tanks had a stance that reduced aoe damage to all allies within x range, and it stacked. Jist make the range, sholder to sholder type thing. Then you get a front line that needs some real bunker busting damage to scare away

We will see what we get in tools in terms to the class kits, for now we can draw on what other games did well and what other games did poorly.

Thats an interesting way to deal with AoEs, not how I’d do it.

I’m not so sure a debuff is appropriate as Ashes has CD.

I rather have form to large scale player movements that take strategic and tactical acumen.

Right, which is why I said how change AoEs.

Why the struggle with this? The solution is easy, high damage/CC aoe, Higher Cooldown and risk/Cast time, this works great in Albion, for example tanks need to manage to CC the back line in order to AoE casters dont miss they skills because they have long Cast or you need to go really close to Cast and if you fail you have like 2 or 3 min cooldown, what means that you are Open to get attacked...

In Albion people dont spam aoe like crazy because if you miss = wipe, but other thing that makes Albion wars really tactical instead of just spam shit, is the high risk, if you die you just dont lose territory, you lose your expensive war gear to, the individual risk together with the group risk is what makes everyone play in the same tone...

New world you fucking dont care, just rush spaming sKills since if you die you just wait 30 sec and you are back spaming skills, just to get top damage in the end..

    Albion also has damage scaling.
