Mass Reporting

gigachadgigachad Member, Alpha Two
How does the player report abuse system work? Is it possible for guilds/groups of players to mass report their competition to boot them offline with a ban? I have seen this happen in MANY mmo's especially during the launch. Automated report systems can be used against anyone for any reason. Does anyone know if this has been taken into consideration by the team? It can really ruin the launch for players who are targetted when you get banned for no reason and then support takes a day or two to review the ban while you can't play the game.

The system needs to work on a fundamental level and then tickets for anything extreme otherwise it will be a joke imo.

The only thing mass reporting should achieve is for an account to jump up on the list of accounts that need to be verified by real people a.k.a. GMs.

Other than that, reporting shouldn't trigger anything automated, maybe except for mutes which can be automatically verified by software that parses text messages.

There's always going to be a flaw in what ever system they do, I only ask them to be responsive should something like mass reporting or whatever happens

I think if you appeal a ban and win, and they determine you were mass reported unfairly intentionally to abuse the ban system, then the accusers should face a ban themselves & be put on a blacklist so that their future reports no longer count towards the auto ban system. Give a warning on the report screen and I think this will deter a lot of mass reports. Could you imagine an entire guild getting a 3 day ban because they mass reported a player in their farming spot 😂

The mmo community has grown much more toxic after WoW.
It was nowhere near what it is now back in Lineage 2 era.
With there beeing open PvP with no factions i can predict there beeing a shitshow in toxicity and reports flooding in :(

Plz do address this it can be a small over sight that ruins alot of peoples experience that has nothing to do with the game itself. Ive never been mass reported "knock on wood" but it happened to maybe 10 of my guildies during NW before a war

My kid got banned from Roblox because he said "kill the black guy" in a PvP game, refering to a guy on the other team that was in a black outfit. He lost his account and did not get it back. Banning people needs to be rare because it will get abused, and even auto flag text will be a problem.
