Tower Defense

I've been playing a lot of Destiny 2 lately, and on the Moon map from the Destiny 2: Shadowkeep expansion they have an area known as the "Altar of Sorrows" where it's basically a tower defense mini-game where you have to kill waves of enemies and beat various bosses leading you to a final boss (they run continuously and there's about 5-7 stages each with a varied wave number based on the amount of bosses you need to kill). It got me thinking that it'd be interesting to see player run outposts getting swarmed by corrupted npcs, and at the end if the final boss is killed have a chance to get rare materials for armor.
