How many tanks

I am a tank main, I always have been always will be. I like the idea of having multiple tanks rather than a main and off tank for PVE encounters. For a 40 man raid having 3-5 tanks to control the battlefield sounds great. My only worry is if there will be enough tanks. Every MMO I've played, I've seen other people play has a lack of tanks. If tanks are compelling and require a lot from the player I think there will be more tank players and that would allow for a multi tank raid party.
I play elder scrolls mainly. And with my tank I've played her in many styles. I've played a healing tank, a support/buff tank, a shield tank, a damage mitigation tank. I get the most enjoyment when I'm controlling the battlefield. So when I play a healing tank, or support tank is when I have my most fun playing tank. I hope Ashes gives tanks that ability to control the battlefield so tanking doesn't get stale.
Another good example. I don't know if any of the developers watch anime. But an anime called "The Shield Hero," is a perfect example of what I think a good tank could offer. In the anime the main character has self shielding abilities, grapple abilities, and even shields he can place in front of allies not close to him. This could be used as inspiration as well to maybe modify with augments or add to the tanks kit to help control the battlefield.
Overall I personally would love to see 3-5 tank raid parties rather than the usual 1 tank and an off tank
