Random Thoughts: Resource Tracking in-game

It would be useful for players to have the ability for tracking resources on the world map. Tracking can be limited to a specific group defined by either a player's profession (achieved at a certain skill level) or perhaps a perk of citizenship in either Economic Nodes or Scientific Nodes.
Details provided could be seasonal changes in resources, scarcity, and migration. The data could be supplied in a similar fashion as the XP to a node, perhaps. For those who have this ability and gather resources, the information of location and frequency of the resource can be collected by the node which then provides updates.
