In-Game Moderation

What kind of In-Game moderation will we see? GMs walking around starting events or more of a hands off wizard in the shadows thing.

Don't forget to visit the Ashes Wiki, @IICamII.

It has a ton of good info for new forum-goers that just found out about the game.

I want to see GMs only interfering when they Absolutely have to and letting players have player agency.

No policing players and taking actions for banter/toxicity unless there's hate speech or racism involved - No interfering if someone was dumb and gave gold to someone and felt for an in-game "scam"

Players need to build their own reputation either good or bad, and GMs should not be involved unless it's necessary

  • We're going to need serious moderating because even a game proven to be very good goes to s**t instantly without hands-on moderators.

Just look at Classic wow which was overrun by bots and bugs and all form of abusers and there was nobody there to take action.

  • They'll catch bots and do things with them.

Blizzard worked a lot years after years around bots, and gold seller. (People even laughed of lawsuit against some website, saying that blizazrd just want part of the money)

But... Classic is just vanilla, with few tweaks, mainly for the graphic quality, stability of servers (due to the evolution of wow, and the fact they didnt have the "original" system...°
But all flaws in the code of vanilla was not fix for classic.

This proved the need of moderation, but also that blizzard did the bare minimum to release classic...
