Could the Archeage at war/at peace system work for Ashes on top of the flagging system?

Just an idea. Could the Archeage at war/at peace system work for Ashes where say 50% of nodes are at war, 50% of nodes are at peace at any one time and rotate periodically on top of the ashes flagging system. The ocean is always PvP flagged still. The at peace nodes, you are automatically flagged as non-combatant which can't be changed. Also lets say the at war nodes have slightly more/better resources and better loot tables than at peace nodes. I know for myself I enjoy PvP gameplay but sometimes you do just want to chill a bit more. Let me know if you think could it work? Is it not possible for that to work? Advantages and Disadvantages of such a system in comparison to what is currently proposed. Does it ruin risk reward totally? Does it ruin game balance? Personally I think it could potential be healthy for the player population of the game and potentially making pvp feel a bit more of an opt in experience.

Should we deviate into this before even trying the currently proposed system? No.
yes, it ruins the risk vs reward philosophy. making pvp opt in = you get all the rewards with no risks.
I don't see how having fixed factions makes a difference? But indeed being able to do safe PvE can potentially affect the whole risk:reward balance of the game.
