While watching the Baldman react to the recent update for gathering he was discussing how gold was created and he wanted stars to come to the ground and it reminded me of something Runescape did. They had random skill based events that would happen randomly through out the world and if you had certain quests done or access to certain items you could pin point where they would be. So I think it would be pretty cool if they added something like that to help spice up gathering even more. Adding a Telescope that you can make and you can use the telescope to look up at the sky for potential meteorites crashing into the ground from space. We could utilize the season system to affect their chances of happening say every third spring or whatever an increased chance of it happening either due to a passing comet or celestial event.
