Idea on Tree harvesting

Hello Ashes of Creation Team,

The Harvesting and Gathering looks amazing. I love what I have seen in the revile.

I would like to drop some of my ideas that I have on the Tree gathering to I guess expand up on the system.

1) When the tree has been cut down by a hatchet or a two man saw, it would be cool for the tree to stay on the ground for some time.
2) When the tree is down, additional points of interaction appear along the tree trunk indication points where the player or players can cut the tree apart to yield more resources out of the tree.
Creating a much more immersive harvesting system, then just cutting down a tree and moving on to the next tree.

I would say that this idea could be implemented to other gathering items like mining instead of letting only one person mine a rock but two or three people can come up and assist in breaking the rocks apart. Letting everyone get something out of it rather than the 1st person that runs up to the rock and cuts it off from everyone else. Or maybe keep the group gathering to a party system, so that if you are in a party you can gather together.

That's all I have for now let me know what you think of this idea and if you have anything to add or take away from this.

Thanks!

I liked the Gathering update aswell, it indeed looks well made and is heading to the right direction.
When it comes to the sound, there is some air up. I would like to hear some New World Audio quality in the future. (There aren't much videos about it, this one was the best I found in a hurry.

You can also see the visuals there, which are really good, just like in the current state of AoC. A few things I will mention now regarding the physics are not dramatic but still finetuning-worthy like the rubber branches, which wiggle around shortly after the tree hits the ground.
While the showcase one tree was cut down which hit a big rock and bounced very nice on the grass but sadly it bounced through another tree while doing so, once again nothing dramatic but it's all about finetuning  The last but not least about the graphics is the dust/snow/(rain?) flying of the tree and earth when it hits the ground. This is already in a pretty good state, but also here some tiny details would give the ultimate vibes ! Such like the particles mentioned above flying more to the side and less up? Maybe the last one is just my PoV, I was bad at physics

1)2) In a Survivalgame this would be totally my thing, but what I am concerned about in a MMORPG is that the time to process one tree would take too long, atleast if I would compare and combine that system that with MMORPG`s I know of.
But maybe this is the future, the system, a hidden gem which would work and shine more then I could imagine of ! Shortly said =I'm unsure, 70/30, tending more FOR the idea.

I`d like to place another idea here, simillar to yours but with a little difference, when it comes to the yield.
When a tree has been cut you will get simple wood or branches, the full amount of it. BUT if you decide to also cut the fresh log on the ground, you will get logs back, in a "smaller size" so to say. So the second step of the tree processing is optional and comes in handy for the trade skills who especially need logs, such like furnishing. It will be a loggers choice, to concentrate on wood/branches for higher amounts OR get also the additional loot from a tree, such like log pieces.
What we can extend here as a third part of the tree is the tree trunk. It could even provide a second optional loot tabel. Once you went for the cut of the tree, you get the guaranteed loot, then you are free to go for the trunk and/or the log. All will depend on the loggers time and goal.

That is a really good idea aswell, the loot is properly distributed between the miners and cutting the fun for gathering
But will this fit with the PvP heavy aspect? I don't think so, why do PvP if everyone can just join in and mine/gather stuff with you? It lowers the competition to a certain degree. I'd say the party system you mentioned is more useful here.

I think we have similar opinion over the current state and what can be in the future.
Thank you aswell, new thread not overcrowded with answers...made me write this actually
