Node Beasts

I will throw a bunch player driven content ideas in the forum, here it goes:

Node Beasts

Beasts like Manticores and others could be acquired by nodes through trading or quests.
These beasts could stay in cages or in the beast pens, they do not attack citizens from their own node, they attack everybody else. Could have beasts for attacking people, attacking structures, bashing gates, attacking beasts or attacking ships.

PvE guys could run dungeons and sites and imprison them, beasts are valuable and will be great group content hunting them and bringing to the node.

PvE guys can actually influence in wars by bringing such monstrosities to the node's arsenal for selling or donating them to the node.

Great for node wars.

Such beasts could be transported in caravans, just like in circus cages for trading between nodes or node sieges.
The caravan could be attacked, the beast escapes and disapear.

The beast pens could have a lof of beasts.
Mayors and players with the role Beastmaster may transport, release for attack or set free such beasts.

Once realeased on attack or defense, they will fight and kill anyone except for citizens from it's own node.
After 30 minutes they fly away and disapear, so the beast is a consumable.

Acquiring them is through PvE and in PvP we use them.
PvE means: A handful of coins and a bag of boredom.

  • I want a pet rancor to feed other players to

players from different nodes will be travelling all over the world for dungeons. So, I am from another citizenship node, my node is tier 4 and your node just became tier 5. You guys unlocked a new dungeon and now I get to help you get a siege beast or pets because it's tied to your node?

nah. also unbalances the seige / node wars since not all nodes will have dungeons.
{UPK} United Player Killer - All your loot belongs to us.
  • AoC team should add this as a feature, although I wound not make them disappear, stack them until you can't stack them anymore, limit it (20 beasts per node), its a game, also can be immersive like we can't feed to many beastly beasts.

I think beast hunting and trading will appease the players who are more PvE oriented

Also when the node has an arsenal of beasts for unleashing at their enemies then the PvP people will salivate on this

I think they should be mostly consumables since beasts would be very powerful and not pet at all

  • I love this idea. But would be fun if having the beast in a cage would demand some meat/vegetables from the Node each week or something in order to keep them fed or they will just die of starvation. The mayor would be in charge of managing this.

Yes, I thought of it, but I forgot to type about it :#

Having an arsenal of bests for sure would have it's upkeep

In a caravan if you have a cage wagon I think you should be able to open the cage and unleash the beast on your attackers, it's better than losing all wagons
