Sacrifice players and turn them into Wraiths

I will throw a bunch player driven content ideas in the forum, here it goes:
Give players the ability to sacrifice other players on an altar in dark rituals.
Sacrifice corrupted players and they become Wraiths:
Corrupted players can only become Wraiths, they also can fly.
Wraith doesn't suffer any dampening
Wraith's kills on purple or red will help clearing a bit the corruption, if they kill a lot they will go back to non corrupted.
Non corrupted players could be sacrificed too, on an altar too, the ritual is still kinda dark.
Sacrificing non corrupted players:
A system in which you can sacrifice people and turn them into something else is for the player driven content and for player as other things or simply being strategic.
If it's too complicated then Wraiths only, but why be the same guy everyday?
Can you imagine a Necromancer bringing tens of players in the forms of Wraiths for an attack?
This has never seen before.

Sacrifice corrupted players and they become Wraiths:
- Necromancer: a fully corrupted player sacrificied by a Necromancer should become powerful Wraith. The corrupted player will play as a Wraith until killed.
- Conjurer: turns corrupted into Wraiths too, but the Wraith has to say within a certain range from the corrupted as his slave, if the Wraith flies away he will catch fire and slowly burn to death.
- Spellmancer: same as Conjurer

Sacrificing non corrupted players:
- Necromancer: player becomes the ghost of himself/herself, semi-transparent, maybe white-ish, goes back to normal when dying while a ghost, burns if he runs away too far from the Necromancer
- Conjurer: turns people into elemental spirits, they can also fly, they go back to normal on death.
- Spellmancer: turns people into warrior fairies, or spirits of the forest, with colorful wings on their backs, they fly go back to normal on death.

PvE means: A handful of coins and a bag of boredom.

Wow... that'actually an amazing idea!
If you are a necro and have a raise dead spell, it could be a player with his cosmectics, thats really cool.
if it's the latter. NO
reason: Player agency
Good question, maybe we should forget about the altar and do the ritual anywhere we want
Maybe if there's a special dark altar in a few spots of the map then the ritual could be better, use less mana maybe... maybe sacrifice a hundred players in one go, maybe give a little boost to the Wraiths
But yes, maybe it's best if the player doing the sacrifice could do it anywhere
Maybe the sacrifice could go anywhere if the player already visited the altar and prepared the consumables there.... and maybe he could have a dark altar at his freehold so he can prepare the consumables at home!
YES!
This is definitely better, the caster just need the consumables, he could buy them or prepare the consumables at an altar.... then the caster can travel to his buddies and turn them there
This helps with player logistics, this makes it simplers than making a hundred people travel around, let's make just the guy responsible for this to be travelling and working on it beforehand
Yes, maybe we could be simpler.... having one "evil" casters or one "evill martyr " in the combination always turn the player into a Wraith
And if caster and martyr are both good then the martyr becomes a battle fairy
We wanna see the army of the dead battle the army of the fairies
I am all for these things like you mentioned in your posts because it feels entertaining and people won't be doing this all the time. I feel like if I do it once per week it will form a ritual for myself, the more things like these the more rituals we do, its always fun when there is a ritual in your life, then your life feels meaningful.
I consider going to the gym as form of ritual or anything similar to it. I am not satanic, but I believe in those small events that make our life more meaningful.
To me having player driven content is what makes MMOs great, the era of having only grinds in MMOs has to stop
We need systems that let us pull content out of it and the players will use that for running their own stories
Having the systems in the game is what matters, people will carry out their own content
