Trees from gathering concern/question

We know that approx 15,000 players can be hosted on a server at a time. Eventually that cap could be raised to host close to 50k per server according to wiki link; https://ashesofcreation.wiki/Servers
My concern with being able to chop down any tree is that I wouldn't want the lush beautiful world of Verra to look like the image below or Isengard post Saruman if timer ends up being too long.
I understand that trees gradually grows back to it's original size. But has it been confirmed what the timer of that would be? And is the chopped down tree viewed by any/all players? Or just shown for the player who chopped the tree down?

I think the best way to reduce this problem is have the amount of wood that is given by each tree be enough so that players don't have to cut too many. And adittionaly making each chopping take like one minute but giving tons of wood. That's my opinion at least..
