Armor stats and set bonus items

Gday guys i hope youre all doing well
Im curious if intrepid has any plans on creating stats/ set bonus or just items/ armor with different procs,
I dont like so much the wow system where there is like tier 1-2-3 with different set bonus and you are sort of funneled into an optimized setup but if intrepid were to create a diverse amount of items with different types of mechanics it would be super dun to play and experiment in,
Also different items or abilities from different professions that were locked to your profession to use would be really cool for example blacksmiths being able to repair their own armor at reduced cost or somethung along these lines

having cosmetic sets is fine or maybee with one set bonus but most of it needs to be custom fit
I like the way they are going with gear so far, but ill just have to wait til beta to be sure
