Ammunition Types for Siege Engines and Player/Class/Job involvement

FreyaFreya Member, Alpha Two
Im sure something like this has probably been brought up before, and this is just a random thought, but how about different ammo types for siege engines that are affected by the profession and classes of people around it, like alchemists could bring potions and load them into a trebuchet or firepots, or elemental mages could turn a boulder into a magical projectile, or a necromancer cursing the boulder to raise killed players as zombies near where it lands ,a cleric could bless it not to harm team mates (if ff is a thing) just food for thought

  • Now that would be cool, but what is better is to have simplicity and good economy, how can you do that you might ask yourself? Well with simple strategy that materials for siege engines should be crafted, for example that big ball to destroy walls should be crafted via blacksmithing, or that crossbow engine (idk name sorry) should be crafted via blacksmithing and some part via engineering or wood processing. More professions should be involved in this to make more stable economy. It would not be good to make just blacksmiths or engineers craft ammo for these siege engines. The less players have something the more of value that item becomes. Sorry for bad english.

Btw, I would keep things simple and realistic, it always work well. Annd my idea for MMO is that game should lean heavily into professions/crafting.

Alchemists could make some flasks that boost siege engine once per ball to light it with fire, so that when ball hits wall, it catches fire and deals DoT ticking damage, does stack for example 5 times and last for 1min.

I think there should be a skill-line for sieges. That is something i feel is missing in ESO's PvP currently. Maybe instead of a ballista shooting out 1 arrow, with a maxed skill-line it's shooting out 2-3 arrows instead and maybe doing flame/magic dmg instead of a regular arrow etc.
