I am thinking of making a contribution to become eligible for alpha 2. My question is, what is the expected timing?
I made the poor choice of dropping 1K into Pantheon RotF, and it looks like it is still years away from launch.

We don't have a date for Alpha 2 testing just yet, but there's no rush. The devs have said they will give plenty of warning before the Alpha 2 pre-order packs get removed from the store so unless there are a set of monthly cosmetics that you really really want, I would just wait until we have more information.
