so i have made a post or two in the past about how i would love to see interesting races that you have to earn and what i mean specifically is races like vampires or werewolfs or even some more exotic stuff like a shade or ghost or something or maybe a lich or perhaps even an automaton with the idea being that each of these sort of races would be earned FOR THAT SPECIFIC TOON like how vampirism and lycantrhopy work in eso but with a far more involved solo player quest at least for specific ones that would need more explaination or perhaps in the same way BUT you need to fight through one of ashes few instanced dungeons and after clearing it perhaps even maybe account wide, the next time you enter the instance, they dungeon will be clear for you to head to whatever the 'altar/shrine' is to recieve the race change. hell there could even be some fun ideas depending on how much power these race changes could be allowed to give that could allow for an interesting and almost certainly at least very risky game health wise idea of anyone who becomes one of these races ends up becoming flagged for pvp 100% of the time aside from in towns.
now i know what that idea i mentioned sounds like but think about it like this, anyone who gets these race changes not only will have fully cleared these solo dungeons which could be made difficult to weed out the weaker players who arent ready for such a massive risk vs reward possibility and more than that, they would need to go back later AND go to find the shrine AND make the full descision after a promt explains THE FULL risks and the benefits to go through with it with perhaps even you getting only like 3 chances before that specific toon can no longer change to anything else. basically anyone who did go through with it would be accepting a lot of bonus strength and maybe new interesting augments like a shade or ghost getting to have everything of theirs get bonus frost or ice dmg or maybe a vampire having most of their kit get bonus lifesteal with in both instances, the shades ablities could ALL also have visual effects changed ever so slightly with even fire looking blue and perahps even having an aura of frost as it has become either like cold fire like from eso or soul fire or something and vamps stuff becoming blood magic tinted red with the power of the blood they use and take.
trust me when i say that this truly is an idea that i only think should be investigated fully AFTER the full release of the game but it could make for hella fun new solo content for people who want that as you wouldnt even need to become the race but could just play the solo content AND would make for people trying out a new almost secondary augment system that could make for interesting combos and with that pvp always on against any 'monster' type race being something that could even be interesting as monster players would have maybe not WAAAAYYY more strength than normal human and demi human races but would definantly always have a very potent edge that of course would come with potent weaknesses only encouraging players to pick targets more carefully and assess what their enemies weaknesses are before engaging so they can best swap their gear in a horizontal gear system to say for a vampire, gear focused around holy dmg and fire dmg ignoring anything else because even with a build not made for it specifically, it would FUCK UP any vamp or maybe that shade would just damn near keel over just at the sight of holy magic and perhaps also gear that provides ANY bonus to fighting undead with the idea of having a few achillese heels for these races also being to make it so even if a vamp swapped their gear out for max fire resist, they would still be weak to holy or if they tried covering both, they would ultimately still be weak to both but at least not so fatally weak to both and with gear that doesnt get overlayed by costumes or styles like many games do, you can visibly see what armor your enemy is wearing and figure out what their weaknesses might be in a general sense because if they are wearing robes than you can figure they are likely focusing on magical defense of some sort leaving them open to physical dmg or vice versa.

Racial skins

Racial skins enable a player to change their character's racial appearance.[1][2]
Racial skins transform the race of the character to that skin. The original racial appearance of the character is entirely replaced.[3]
Racial skins can be toggled on and off.[2]
You're changing your race over to that, which means that you won't look uniquely different if you were a Vek angel or a Human angel.[3] – Steven Sharif
Racial skins are not costumes. This means that armor and character customization is possible on these.[4]
Skin color customization.[5]
Racial skins appear along with any costume appearances.[6]
There are plans to create other racial skins.[7]
Some potential future ideas include undead and werewolf (lycan) skins.[8]
Having a racial skin is an idea. As far as going out and contacting vampirism or lycanthropy this was asked and answered couple of years ago in a livestream Q&A. The answer was basically no.
Maybe in the pages of the forums someone linked the source.

uhhh not actually. full race changes. basically the idea that you can earn the ability to swap to a monster race that gives you a notable amount of extra power and acts as a moderate augment all its own to your abilites perhaps even fully changing how they work as opposed to normal augments but in exchange for not only ALWAYS being a combatant meaning free to kill whenever anyone wants to with no consequences AND bonus weankesses that can fuck ya over changing how you should build your class and gear setups so as to at least to try to minimize part of your weaknesses giving you at least 2 to make it hard to cover both well.
If you're looking for support from the forum, you'd be better backing away from trying to change PvP/Corruption.
its not tho. its literally a "hey what if someone who was really good and managed to take down solo content wanted to be rewarded with even more combat strength at the cost of severe weaknesses and being lagged as a permanent combatant?" the idea being that the solo dungeons required to reach the location of the race change combine with adequeate explaining from in game promts of all pros and cons would make sure that literally if you dont wanna do it, you can just have fun completing the solo dungeons and if ya do than you know beforehand any and all risks with like i also said, a player should get like 3 race changes total and only in regards to gaining a new race, chaging to a different earned race, or reverting to their base race with on that one, if you were a aelar human, you could ONLY revert to an aelar human and not decide to swith to a dunir dwarf for example.
