I love boss mechanics that make me think. I love how Tumak had requirement to further along the fight. I would love to see more requirements like that.
One game In my opinion that did this so well was “SHADOW OF THE COLOSSUS”
It depends on the player, I love complexity & challenge. Make them ridiculously hard & thought provoking, whether solo or with a group. Make it so what worked for one boss, may not work for another.
I would love to see group mechanics in which we have a boss that is meant for 10+ or 20+ and certain players have to do one thing, while others have to simultaneously do another thing to progress the fight.
Give me riddles, give me puzzles.
