What aspects of damage mitigation, crowd control, area of effect, and utility and support have you considered? Will we get to test these mechanics in Alpha 2?
"Freehold placement
Kaelar and Empyrean freeholds (Pre-alpha).[17]
Freeholds may be placed anywhere within the ZOI of a stage 3 node (or higher) so long as they are not in close proximity to any of the following:[18]
Pathing routes (Roadways).[18]
Dungeons and other points of interest (POIs) regardless of advancement.[18][19][20]
Events spawn areas.[18]
Other freehold plots.[18]
Hard terrain features, such as mountainsides or cliffs.[21]
Freehold plots will require a certificate from the parent node in order to place the plot.[22]
The current design allows placement of freeholds anywhere in the ZOI of the node that the certificate was purchased from, including its vassal nodes. This may change as the result of testing.[23]
Depending on where you achieved- where you procured the certificate from, as long as it is either in the parent or the vassal area, it could be a part of either. You give that declaration when you lay down the freehold. But like I said, that may change because we are actively defining a different approach on some of the vassal systems.[23] – Steven Sharif
The more advanced a node is, the more freeholds can be built within its ZOI.[4]
Ample space will be available to place freeholds in the ZOI of a village node.[24]
Collections of freeholds placed together are considered part of their parent node and do not become a separate node, other than via roleplay.[25]"

"Freehold benefits
Player housing offers a number of benefits:[8][26] Each different type of housing offers different benefits.[27]
Ability to claim citizenship to a node.[28]
Additional benefits are granted to home owners who are also citizens of that node.[27]
Ability to place furniture and other decor items.[29][30][31]
Houses will be empty when purchased. Players will need to place furnishings and decorations in them.[32]
Each size of player-owned housing determines how many decor items can be placed in it.[8]
Storage containers.[31][26]
Players must build and place these in their housing. There are restrictions on the grades of storage containers available in different types of houses.[31]
Different grades of storage containers have different inventory capacities.[31]
Crafting benches to craft furniture and other items.[30][26]
Prized items can be displayed within a house.[26]
Achievements and trophies may be displayed.[26]
Social activities.[26]
Housing may provide proximity based bonuses.[26]
Players may grow crops in the garden sections of their player housing.[33][34]
Freeholds offer the following additional benefits.
Freeholds allow the owner to sell consumables that are only purchasable from specific buildings.[35]"

Edit: Stage 3 is a Village, by the way.
"Underrealm freeholds
Resources will be different in the Underrealm, including unique species of fish.[108][109][61]
This will affect professions such as fishing, farming, and animal husbandry.[108][61]
Since players may only have one Freehold, they must choose their Artisan specializations accordingly if they wish to place it in the Underrealm.[61]"

"Companion app
A companion app (mobile app/web interface) allows players who are not logged into the game to have authority over certain services and mechanics.[1][2] Some functionality may come post-launch.[3]
Crop rotations.[2][3][4]
Player stalls (Kiosks).[3]
Mayoral duties.[3][5]
Pay taxes.[3]
Fishing (potentially).[3]
Parlor games (Tavern games).[3][6]
World event notifications.[3]
Node citizenship notifications.[3]
Player housing notifications.[3]
Guild leadership tools such as calendar notifications is a possible feature.[7]"

I understand it might be a bit immersion breaking but on the other hand its not enjoyable if every time you log in you have to click and look at a gather bar for 15-20mins.
They will only pull posts with one questions asked. I would suggest picking on of these to get voted on not all 3.
Much appreciated! SkylarckTheBotanist
