Guild taxes or levies.

MosephMoseph Member, Alpha Two, Early Alpha Two
I did a search on the forums for this topic, read quite a few posts, but didn't find an answer. So here's my question; Will guilds be able to establish a guild tax or levy? In SWTOR, a guild was able to have a tax on the gold received from mob drops and basic quest rewards. I think the range was from like 1% to 20%.

I think this would be a good idea as long as there was some way to verify guild masters weren't embezzling funds. Maybe like a monthly ledger or something showing withdraws and deposits from the bank. This would help guilds build funds to purchase their freeholds along with any upkeep or maintenance required for those freeholds. Once the freehold was established, it would then help pay for any expansions the guild wanted to make.

Gold doesn't drop from mobs and quests mate.

    Pay day way:

Castle taxes are carried via NPC generated caravans from the nodes that fall under the castle's purview to one of the castle nodes at the end of each week leading up to a castle siege.[4]

Thanks for the links, there's a lot to read but, I think I get it now. This system is going to be huge. The developers and programmers have their work cut out for them ensuring all these systems interlace together correctly.
