Lol there's absolutely nothing that requires "fixes" my friend, have you tested A2 to know how the system works?
I personally like the family system, just not having to use it to use freeholds
I mean i know how it works because they explained it in the live stream
This right here is why you want the level 50 cap. And as far as the concern of "people rushing to 50" goes, thats entirely up to the individual player to play that way. I have planned from day 1 that I found out about this game even before knowing about the concept of freeholds that I will rush my first character to 50 as fast as possible. Now I just have another reason to also rush how much gold I can make to acquire a freehold. You're welcome to play casually, you aren't being forced into the playstyle. And besides, if you have even 1 friend playing that also rushes, you and your in game family can funnel resources to them to get you all a freehold to use.
people have organized themselves into families for 20 years of mmorpg now. those are just perks that you get for doing what youve been doing for 20 years "unofficially"
True however, in ashes there is a CD period for joining/leaving families, i think alot of people wanted to use the fast travel aspect of being in a family to be able to group with their friends and do some casual pvp or dungeons together, my guess is now families will be used just to use freeholds but who knlws we have to test it
