Occupying Stage 3-5 Nodes

So the more I think about it, the more I'm starting to think maybe I'll focus on being more involved in a smaller node, rather than being "just a number" in a metropolis. My concern is - how will that play into end game? Will the surrounding area be locked at level 20 or 30 if it's a stage 3 or 4 node, or will there be a mix of mid level and end game content based on if the parent node is a higher level? I don't want to be "forced" to go to a metropolis just to experience end game content.
I'm guessing we'll get a lot more info on this in July's livestream. Any guesses until then?

Depends. Large guilds will own freeholds, so they will care if a node is destroyed or no. Plus if you're on the casual side, forget to belong to a metro. The more citizen a node has, the more expensive getting citizenship is
i find it so weird that people feel comfortable so definitively stating things...THIS is how it will be! the game is not even out yet. weird, right?
Well, that's how things work. The more citizens, the higher the price to be a citizen. It's the current system.
I don't think that's going to be the case. Even as a small node you are still in the ZOI of a metropolis and you probably work with them to supply resources from your node. If you have good relations with your larger parent node then chances are people will sign up to defend the smaller nodes because they don't want to change what's currently working. I think your level of danger is going to be based more on your politics and aliances and less on your node stage. A key strategic metropolis could arguably be the MOST dangerous place to live.
“It is not a bad thing to be vasseled, it is a good thing to be vasseled. It brings many benefits from the Sovereign, which is the the ultimate parent of that vassal network down to the vassal node itself; and it allows that vassal node to even live outside of its normal mechanics. You get to adopt some of the benefits that the node type of your sovereign is, even if your node type as a vassal node isn't the same.”
Hopefully this will get touched on more between now and next month’s livestream, because that answer is incredibly vague. Perhaps the team haven’t exactly pinned down what benefits vassal nodes will get from their parent / sovereign nodes, but if vassal node citizens can’t access the end-game content tools available to citizens of the metropolis, I can’t imagine very many players will be content simply being citizens of a village, town, or city for too long.
Maybe this gives opportunities to start off somewhere cheap, earn a living, then move up the ladder, hit max level, and work their way up the ranks into accessing endgame content when they’re actually ready to experience it? Hard to say. This explanation doesn’t mean much once the majority of the server is max level though.
Simple, gold. Citizenship has soft cap. If you're poor, you can't afford to buy it. Much like real life, renting in the city is expensive, so you move far away from city.
