Thoughts on this months live stream?

As someone that is very interested in playing cleric i am really excited to see what is coming, however i am not so thrilled about another month being used onsomething we have borderline seen, given the feedback on the last cleric showcase i would be very interested to see the changes they have made to cleric and healing gameplay in general however i dont think this warrents an entire livestream, steven has stated that A2 was not years away, this implies that A2 will release at some point next year, hopefully Q1, but with the current live streams as good as they are and as much as i appreciate the open end development it worries me a bit how much of the core game we have yet to see, will these all need their own livestream?

Not including the cleric we have 3 other classes to preview, given one is stated it wont be available at the launch of A2 but still very possible we see a template on stream pre launch, we also have nodes, naval content, crafting, most people want to see a real combat update, and that is just to name a few, im curious if all of these will need their own months stream or if we will just see them firsthand during alpha 2, i would guess the monthly updates will cha ge a little bit during alpha 2 and they will be addressing bugs and other fixes,

Either way, im happy to see the progress they have made with the cleric even if its not what i really think we need to see, what do you think about seeing the cleric again? What would you like to see in the future?

Also could someone more knowlagable than me tell me, will the cleric showcase be set in a new biome/ area or something we have already seen?

I'm pretty confused as to why make a second showcase of Cleric with more skills, instead of a "second" showcase of Fighter which was mostly a melee combat/weapon basic attack showcase with 2 skills, same can be said for the Ranger.

I'd imagine because cleric's showcase was kinda luckluster and muddled, while both of those other showcases got good feedback and were overall positive.

Rogue showcase would be way more reasonable, maybe not quite there yet in development.

I'm not sure I would consider the fighter one a showcase. If memory serves it was just the basic greatsword attack and two abilities- the whirlwind and that yellow overhead smash.

more importantly, I want to know if buffs will be as mandatory as they were in L2

Why are you seeing the cleric? Because it was in a place they felt was able to be shown off enough to feature in a stream. Nodes weren't ready, so they went with that. A2 will come when A2 comes. Trying to second guess by stream topic is not going to get you anywhere. If you frequent the Discord, you would have more up to date information. Like these gems.

So, I'm excited, because you can't really get a feel for how a class will play based off of just a few abilities. This Cleric showcase hopefully addresses that.

Yeah it's disappointing we didn't get the node showcase, but honestly I do not care that much, whether it's this or next month doesn't make a difference to me, since I won't be able to play the game for at least a couple of more years anyways.

I think the more successful showcases have been the features that make AoC stand out from other games. Not sure a second cleric showcase does that unless they bundle it with other features and systems related to the cleric.

I could see them even stringing a series of showcases just on the node system and it would be well received. Node series would include a basic overview, then details on construction within the node, then the systems/features that take place within the node, and finally a node siege. Perhaps side views of each of the node types throughout the series?

If they stick to their past quotes of around 30 abilities per archetype, that means they are halfway done!

Latest interview they said augments are not coming before, but during A2, so doubt you will see that reveal anytime soon.

latest information says it's actually 15 to 20 skills on your bar - so if they showcase 18 skills that could potentially represent a full level 50 cleric

i just hope we get a decent combat update with this live stream and see how it actually plays
