Ninja

so I would like to make a high mobility fighter/rogue that leans heavily into the rogue's dungeon delving capabilities.
will I be able to do so?

I think your primary archetype will need to be Rogue.

yeah but rogue/fighter is called duelist and that sounds lame compared to shadowblade!

They are just names atm. You will need a rogue if you favour mobility over prowness.

The promises of class combos need to be tested to see if they offer variety or not.

isn't rogue gonna be more stealth? I don't see a reason why you can't have high mobility be available to most classes if you spec into it

class identity and feel. would be weir dashing all over the map with a tank or a cleric.

If you want heavily sneaking and dungeon delving abilities, you'll have to first take the rogue and then augment it with an archetype that increases its open fight proficiency. Regarding mobility, maybe the augmentation with a Ranger might be a good choice, but I guess fighter will also be a solid pick.

Note that at this point in time we can all just speculate on what the dual class system will give us, just as what the rogue archetype will be like. But what we know is that there will be class features that are unique to the primary archetype and the trap and hidden door detection seems to only be accessible to primary Rogues.
The answer is probably >>> HERE <<<

The classic ninja is definitely a from-stealth killer, using poison and subterfuge to get advantage on the enemy.

If you don't care about stealth, and care more about melee and mobility, a fighter is probably what you're looking for. A rogue secondary will probably have mobility-type augment line? But a dungeon delving line seems unlikely. We won't know until we get a ways into A2.
