Glorious Alpha Two Testers!

Alpha Two Realms are now unlocked for Phase II testing!

For our initial launch, testing will begin on Friday, December 20, 2024, at 10 AM Pacific and continue uninterrupted until Monday, January 6, 2025, at 10 AM Pacific. After January 6th, we’ll transition to a schedule of five-day-per-week access for the remainder of Phase II.

Nodes anywhere???

I havent seen a discussion for this, but imi curious to whenever we decide to create a node if we can place it anywhere? Example: 6 of you and your buddies run 3 hours to the edge of a map and want to build a town and not necessarily be raided consistently. Will that be a possible thing, or are the locations hard set? Example: One guild gets to the mountain where the node slot is and bam they have to chose that location to create a node and thats one of the selected spots to where a node is assigned too. Does that make sense? i feel it might not. yv2m6rha6kuj.png

    Nodes location is fixed, just like their type (military, economic, religious and academic/science). Players can't change that. What players can do is building them from scratch. And it makes sense since it would be too much demanding for the engine/netcode that players can build them wherever they want. Also, that would lead to situations where players found exploits like putting many nodes together and things like that.

    What it has more freedom to build in terms of location are freeholds, and still, it will have some restrictions. Again, to avoid exploits and overengine the game.

    1- the location is hard set by is, but you can just pick one far away from everything and level it up and settle there.
    2- you wont be raided constantly. there is a 30-60 days declaration cooldown per node, depending on the node stage.
    3- if you dont wanna be attacked, going to a remote location is probably a bad idea. i thought the same at some point, but then i realized people who do that wont have many numbers (or the node would probably have leveled much higher) so they are an easy target. i could go to your location once a month with my 9345754754 friends and take all your loot. how are you going to defend with 10 people? xD if you just go to a high level node with lots of people, chances are it wont get attacked or destroyed as often. plus longer declaration periods.

    6 players will not be enough to progress a Node past Stage 2.
    Eventually, your Node would become a Vassal Node of some City or Metro.
    It's unlikely your Node would be relevant enough to be Sieged... until it becomes a Vassal Node of a Village.
