Farmlands and pastures

Simple in concept, probably not so much in execution, I think the world of Verra could use some rolling fields of rural kind.
During the Freehold showcase I was a little disappointed that crops are grown in sad little gardens and animals are crammed in tiny pens, so perhaps some of the unused area on a Freehold plot could be turned into a farmland or a pasture once appropriate buildings are constructed on the Freehold. It doesn't even have to be a functional element, although I'd love some interactivity.

Showcase tried to show off several processing professions. In theory, you'll be able to just fill your entire FH with one type of processing and it'll look like "a field" or "a huge animal enclosure".

Those plots could definitely use some cosmetic landscaping improvements. There could be a cut grass area option surrounding the immediate house, wild flower fields for other plot areas or even a small area for a grove of trees or the ability to place a tree here or there. The whole FH needs some curb-appeal options to offset the appearance of just dropping stuff in-place "because".

The freehold we saw was up in the hills. I expect that freeholds down on the flatlands will likely have some nice pastures as you hope.

We have seen some video of for example wheat grown in larger tracts. I imagine we will see this to a degree.

Isnt that a lot of assumptions though?
You make it sound like they are goin all out and build some sort of grid system with free placement and no limitations at all?
I was under the impression, its gonna be more restrictive template approach. You get to place 1 thing in each of the 4 corners and there is a path inbetween them.

    No, not a lot.

Space that is not used for freehold buildings can be utilized for other purposes, such as livestock and crop placements.[80]
Players can manipulate the orientation of freehold buildings and items being placed on their freehold plot.[42]
There may be a grid-based system that freehold owners can use to place items/props and buildings on their freehold plot.[79]

Have a naked FH w/ 0 buildings and you have yourself the field/enclosure I was talking about. Also, potentially, a grid.
