Problem with Steam Download

Hello, I received my game key this morning and went to my Steam account and began to DL the AoC test client, I got about 50% done then it paused and then i got a error message"Missing File Privileges" then it paused and cannot begin the DL again. Any help is appreciated. Thank you

    I have signed out of Steam, re logged, uninstalled the AoC test client, re entered the test client key, and tried to reinstall AoC but the original error message persists.

    We are currently waiting for A2 dates, so I don't think it's available to download on steam. Once Intrepid gives us dates for A2, I think they will send out an email on how to access the testing.

    Thank you for the reply, I find it odd that i was able DL ~50% of the client. Also, I purchased AoC on March 28, 2020, the $150.00 bundle but i am still unable to play for some reason. Any ideas?

    As I had explained, A2 is not currently available for testing we are still waiting for those dates. As far as the steam stuff, I'm not sure.

    APOC was on Steam years ago. That you managed to get a link that downloaded even a partial client is most likely a bug. It was discontinued years ago. As others above pointed out, there is not a current client for you to download.

    Greetings Oldtimer209,

    The only download that was available on Steam was for Ashes of Creation Apocalypse, which was an early access, free-to-play test for the Ashes of Creation MMO. As described on the Ashes of Creation Apocalypse Steam page, that is no longer available on the Steam store. I am unsure where you found a Steam download, but that will not be for the upcoming Ashes of Creation MMO Alpha testing.

    If you would like to submit a support ticket with a link to whatever download you found, we can follow up with Steam to see if we can get that removed so there is no further confusion.

    When we do start Alpha Two testing, we will reach out directly to all eligible participants and have download links available.

    I am closing this thread. Feel free to make another post if you have any other questions.
