animals that are not really mobs... more like cooking nodes to harvest

What are your thoughts on the animals that are required for cooking, but which are not really mobs.
Pigs, Turkeys, Hares, etc. Sort of like finding a pork node to harvest.
I kinda think its cool.

I think it is very cool. Through selective breeding we should be able to develop better strains of animals which, when included in meals, will enhance the buffs of the prepared food. You can find wild animals, tame them, breed them, improve them, slaughter them, cook them and eat them.
It might also makes players' freeholds with animals that are needed for recipes an interesting target...
if going for like a node type harvest having set spawn locations but not always being there would be good also , sort of like a animal migration mechanic and you gotta find the area there are currently grazing at
