Its time to spill the beans on Alpha 2

The last few videos we have seen of this game look very polished, heck the game looks more like its way past Alpha and more in a beta state at this point.
So they have to have a decent idea by now when Alpha 2 is going to go live so do us all a favor and give us some kind of time frame when Alpha 2 is going live.

They spend time polishing the stuff they are about to show on stream. It is by no means a representation of the current state of the overall development.

Didn't they say the current Alpha 2 purchase pack is the last one and available until January? That should give you a good idea when Alpha 2 will be, after January.

Honestly think 90% of people think alpha is going to be like a beta. People generally have bad reception to Early access, and this is going to be a alpha which is more early than that lmao.

Playable "game" does not mean it currently has all of the mechanics intended to make Ashes different from previous MMORPGs.

We have seen highly curated experiences. This is not past an alpha or beta state as far as we know.

You will not get an alpha 2 date until they know they know they will 100% hit that date, right now the suspected internal date they have is 17th of January due to the abnormal date the last pack ends on along with end of year internal testing planned for end of the year which would hint at pre alpha 2 launch testing.
I suspect if there still on track by December livestream you will get the date then.

Either way with the current moves it would indicate for a december livestream date if not a release lat jan early feb for A2

There’s so much they haven’t shown yet that’s supposed to be in alpha 2 though. Like the rogue, bard, those are just some classes. I don’t think they are ready for an alpha 2 yet, but things are looking great, and coming along great imo

Bard and Summoner are expected to be implemented after Alpha 2 starts.

But, there’s supposed to be two more Nodes demos and at least a few other demos before A2.
Likely another demo for Tank and Mage.
Also, Rogue (as you suggested) and Fighter.

March at the earliest is more likely, but…
We’ll see.

Alpha 2 wont be feature complete at the start they already comfirmed that it will however be feature complete by the end of A2.
You will probaly see rogue for A2 release since that fulfils the last class fantasy people are use to having, bard will probaly be after A2 starts somepoint and summoner is 100% after A2 release. Naval combat also comfirmed to be after A2.

The minimum base line requirements for A2 would be
- some play area (Riverlands and dessert probaly) maybe some tropics/badlands
- Tank/Cleric/+1 dps class mostly complete to 35 (i beleive they said A2 max level would be 35 initialy). however we will most likly see 6 of the 8 classes but those 3 are baseline minimum
- Nodes functioning up to rank 3 + mab advancement with nodes with atleast 1 racial building aesthetics
- Land caravan system working
- Mayor system working
- Harvesting/Processing/crafting loops up to lvl 35 items for atleast the gear of the classes we can play at launch
- Functional combat/npc's
- probaly corruption system but essentially it not required for testing but idealy it would be in place at launch cause u would either need to turn OW pvp off outside of caravans and node wars or become a gankfest and push people away which both are not ideal situation so i think corruption is the big one that need to be in for A2 start that we havant seen ingame in anyway yet outside of A1

i might have missed a couple some however these thing would be absolute bare minimum of what needed to start testing.
I however suspect we will get more than absolute bare bones however alot more however they have pretty much shown off everything required for a barebones test we will most likely get a complete game loop up to level 35 (including the very beginning part of 2ndary classes since thats lvl 30 however they may push that back and move lvl cap to 30) for 5/6 classes with all races but tulnar.

Unless you're Steven posting with an alt account (which I'm guessing that you're not), you don't get to make that call.

As for it being in Beta state, they haven't even created the rest of the classes, haven't sorted out the augments, haven't done most of it. If you're not going to keep up with the development, don't make stupid demands. Just sit and wait like the rest of us.

I would love to see a "siege weekend" once every quarter. No need to open everything else..

Oh I thought I heard him say that all archetypes would be in alpha 2 during a live stream, as an answer to a community question.

Well its time to take a crap our get off the pot. Intrepid has a giant team of people working on this game and its been in development since 2016, so we are at the 7 year point now getting ready to be 8 years.
Some of us would like to play this game before we enter our golden years...

I triple-checked for you.
Bard is scheculed for start of Alpha 2.
Steven most recently said Summoner is the only Archetype not scheduled for start of Alpha 2.

So, best case scenario is:
2 Primary Archetype demos per month
2 Livestreams devoted to Node update demos.
That's 5 months - which puts us past Jan 17th.
