Desynch and glitchy movement

If there's one thing that makes an MMO feel bad, it's a lack of smooth control. This is my main concern with AOC atm. I really hope they're making it a priority to get this right.
I know during the last showcase, there were moments where the spiders were glitching and teleporting a bit. During the previous showcase before that where we saw the node, the character had some desynch issues as they were approaching the actual village. Both cases, you either feel like you're not in complete control of your character, or that the world around you is not synched with your character.
Overall, seeing things glitch/teleport/desynch is one of the fastest ways for me to lose the immersion I feel when playing an MMO.
Another issue (which is easier to solve) is that the downgraded animations of mobs when far away just look bad. I understand it's downgraded for performance reasons, but when their frames drop significantly and they look particularly janky, I'd rather almost any other solution be taken. It looks like the game is lagging, and that's not a good look.
