this is a simple post and while i could repeat the same things i have said before, i feel its better to just show the sort of variety of options of old school guns im talking about and also mention that characters like percy from the legend of vox machina should be kept in mind too.
edit: ok so this is the one question i wanna ask EVERYONE who says no to guns being in a fantasy game and especially ashes and i want a real answer and not just the same repeated line of 'no guns....'
if everyone is so ok with not just crossbows but ESPECIALLY potion launcers which will be the cannons on naval stuff than WHY would it not be ok suddenly to have a gun powered by glint where you load glint down the barrel and than a bullet and when you pull the trigger, a fire rune absorbs the glints power and than creates a tiny blast of fire that mimics what gunpowder would do causing the same effect? legitimately, the only 2 things you might notice would be the model of their weapon would look like a weird armless crossbow outta the corner of your eye and the sound would probably sound simialr to a fireball explosion which mind you, the first one wouldnt matter on its own because like hell your really gonna notice it in the heat of battle AND if your ok with potion launchers being planned to be added than literally your already ok with that aspect of it and the second one isnt an issue cause again, in the heat of battle you wont even notice it over the other copius amounts of sound effect seen as the game will seemingly be focused around groups of 4 AT LEAST for almost all content with upwards of 8 people on avg per group AND again, i guarantee potion launchers would have a similar if not the same but just louder sound effect meaning if your ok with poiton launchers, there is no reason that magic guns existing could POSSIBLY hurt your LOTR immersion more than it already would be which you would attest by saying potion launchers are fine, that it DOESNT hurt you if you dont use em yourself...... tell me....... WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE?

(only consider the first like 19 seconds of this video tho the rest is funny as hell to watch to see the level of bullshitery that comes with 'out of the box' gun designs)

(ok now this one is mostly just a funny haha one im adding to lighten the mood because ik how people get around the adding guns to a fantasy game thing for some weird reason but hey, a gun that shoots a shotput is also a funny, yet in a world with dragons and people physically strong enough to hurt said dragons with a sword, practical idea to be able to use a firearm to achieve the same or greater affect at range while still making use of such abnormal strength

)
