Bis races / classes?
BlackBrony
I am pretty sure we will have this, do we have further information on classes, races?
I imagine a rogue with stealth would be a great gatherer since they can hide whenever they want if danger is close.
For example in Wow you had druids who were fast (no need to mount) and also had stealth.
Would something similar happen in Ashes? What do you think, is that a good or bad thing for the game?

Too early to tell. Though stealth will not be true disappearance in Ashes.

Race will not be a BIS determinant per the wiki:
Racial benefits
Character benefits in Ashes of Creation are tied to that character's background rather than their race.[129][130]
We want players to have the freedom to choose the race they want to play because they're excited about it, and avoid situations where players feel forced to play a specific race because of gameplay benefits.[131]
Races are not gender or class locked.[132][133]
Race likely won't affect the artisan system.[130][134]
Race does not affect a character's base stats.[135]

Ok, that's good. Class wise we won't know I guess. I am thinking only in gathering will class matter, since processing and crafting shouldn't be an issue.
But I imagine a class with lots of escape abilities would be much better than a tank sitting there unable to run away.

As far as character stats or skills goes I think race will only provide racial augments... Of which we have 0 examples or ideas what they might do.

Some racial augments could possibly just change visual effects and animation of said primary archetype ability. Base stats are currently dependant on your primary archetype not race.
