Fun Summoner Idea from Wizard 101

Not sure who all is familiar with Wizard 101 and especially the later game mechanics. The Myth school is like the summoner of that game although the summons suck cause they are just RNG if they will do things that are helpful or not. Nonetheless, they have a system that did not translate well for their game, but I think would be awesome for AoC or any MMO for that matter. It's called Monstrology (look it up), and it's where the Myth school teaches players how to extract essence from enemies in battles before defeating them. Once you have enough essence of a certain enemy, you get a one time summon for that enemy for use in combat. This did not translate well for the gameplay style of Wizard 101, but how cool would it be to grind out some enemies so that you can have a couple special summons in your back pocket that will fight along side you in battle. Monstrology also had some other applications where you could craft placeable character to put in your housing area as decorations. I could see in AoC where it has a player driven economy there being a way to summon monsters that maybe have special drops or something so that the summoner could have something special to bring to the table when it comes to trades and commerce. Anyways, if this sounds interesting go look it up cause it is a very very cool idea (just did not work well for Wizard 101).
