I just hope we won't see "to crazy, strange-looking Stuff".
Be it Eldenring or everything that came before -> there are wonderful Landscapes in every SoulsGame that look natural and are unbelievably beautiful.
And then a few Forms and Structures even in the normal Landscape alone make absolutely no Sense.

Okay, " this " here might be a little bit to crass. But imagine the endless Possibilities with this Engine which Sir Steven's Team is using and with enough time and Inspiration - the breathtaking Views could be endless.

i hope the opposite since the biomes as they are now , they are horrendous and i'd like my magical fantasy game to well actually look like a fantasy game instead of an irl forest made by temu

Everything " somehow " needs an Upgrade, right ?
It just doesn't feel right now that Ashes will meet " THE MAGIC " and the Atmosphere and the Feeling that other MMO's like early WoW Vanilla met.

If you ask me, Area's like :
- The Tropics
- The Jundark
- Sandsquall Desert
and so on -> NEED their own Vibe, "Shade" of Atmosphere, "Color/Brightness", etc. - similar to same as in World of Warcraft. Something that just TELLS you,
no -> FORCES of you, that You are finally entering the Sandsquall Desert - or the Jundark. Or the Tropics. Something that just defines the Area's as their own.
" Defines " the Area's.
Something - that hint or "tint" or "touch" of Atmosphere, Vibe, Soundtrack and more - that makes it unmistakable for You, to know just WHERE you are.

yea that + they need to make the world have fantasy and magical places instead of looking the same and since the nodes gonna take a good chunk of the zones they could make their zone of influence unique from the other node ones to make the nodes feel even more unique and personal to the citizens + that could play into also having nodes have unique resources around them that are scarce in other node areas

This i think Years old Picture is definitely supposed to be an Area in Verra, right ?
Could be the Starting/Portal-Area in the Anvils/Dünzenkell Mountains.
