Account Email, Password Change

In my Account I've noticed that I can change my Email adress way to easly. To confirm new adress I just need click link send to my new email. Then I can use this new adress to change my password. Shouldn't it send confirmation to old email instead of new one? If somebody hack some accound they can change email and password in 10 seconds. I have 2FA so should be fine but I found this strange.
