Unspecialized/crafting weapons?

Just an idea, is it ever possible to have a classless character that can pull abilities from different classes to create a truly custom play experience? To go with that, maybe the ability to craft your own weapons and the ability to help tailor it to your play style. Sort of like King’s Avatar anime where in glory there is an unspecialized and silver weapons that you can craft. Not sure how possible this can be, but I haven’t seen anything like it before really.

From all of the materials available at present, it doesn't seem like they'll be changing the core design of the game, this far into development.
