Ideas about augmentation

You will be able to swap your augmenting class from my understanding. From my understanding that will require some form of price or quest. Ok, so from a point of view this is a form of strength of versatility. But what about if you like the one you have? Maybe you could do the same type of quest/ price to go deeper into the same augment class. Or maybe you just get experience in that augment so there are some of which you are stronger. Could work like the professions where in a way like you could only max one of them.
Well, that’s some ideas on that. Reward consistency.Specialised augments.
Would emphasise 64 classes. Maybe not radically. But could emphasise the flavour of augments.

And that shift will supposedly vary between people, as I pointed out above. And I didn't even mention all the other types of augments and also gear - both of which can influence how deep into that role you go.
In other words, we pretty much already have what you're asking for. It just has a different name and application mechanic.
And... it's still unnecessary to have a quest/price to choose to go deeper into the same subclass.
The "price" is to deter people from changing sub-classes on a whim - so that choices have weight.
