Have you considered when choosing your race...

Architecture? This is normally something I never personally considered when choosing a race, I usually went with racial choices or how armor warped on the character model. However ashes is taking a different route to seeing the racial aesthetic in buildings than normal MMOs.
With WoW or GW2 the races have distinct architecture and cities that you know belong to that people. A blood elf city will look far different than a draenie city. The char's city looks far different from the sylvans. Each race has a defined aesthetic and culture for their buildings, but they are always finite and always will be in places where the player knows they can go see said locations.
In Ashes, building types of based on a multitude of factors with one of which being races in the node. This puts an interesting spin on choosing a character now. For example I love how the Pyrai look, but the buildings of the Ren'Kai and Dunir look far better for my personally and now I am conflicted in my choice because there is a now the ability for me to contribute to what buildings I would like to see in a node.
Has anyone else taken this into consideration on what race they would like to play as?

I believe my suggestion/request was that I should be able to 'vote' for my character to have an architectural influence other than that of their race, or at least to turn off their influence.
Doubt that's going to happen, but I definitely am not willing to change my race choice in order to achieve my architecture choice, so...
That plus the world is likely going to be fairly dynamic as nodes rise & fall, and the main contributing race to any particular node will be totally out of our (individual) hands, so I wouldn't be too wedded to any particular architectural style.
I'd just choose my preferred race.
This is starting area withstanding. I am do like the Py;rai but I don't like plant buildings. In the grand scheme it wont really matter, but I was wondering if for some people it would matter more in their choice.
As i like the somewhat Viking-looking Buildings of the Kae'lar -> and the Nord inside Me starved for now good 10 Years or so or more, since Skyrim came out and was later only good because People who freakin' "LOVE" the Elderscrolls Universe successfully modded the Hell out of it,
i shall go with Kae'lar -> and hopefully, HOPEFULLY - we will be able to build at least One ot Two very cool, viking-looking Nodes around the more snowy Regions in the Middle of the Map. Be it the Mountains or the snowy Forest with the smaller Mountains/Hills.
Nothing against sharing Architecture with Dunir Dwarves, though. Maybe i am already "to friendly and civilised" with that Mindset as a Vikinger-styled Character. 😁
There will be a lot of " racial Supremacy " inside the Architecture, depending on how many Node Citizens are of a certain Race.
Am i a bad Person when i say, i will enjoy the pointless Drama of People like a good Wine who will not be able to come to Terms, that Cultures, Identity - and "RACE" will actually matter in how your own Cities look like ? 😁
I mean -> would be WEIRD AS HELL if we see the tropic Beach-Houses of Nikua Dwarves in the ice-cold Climate Biomes, now will it ?

Yeah fairplay. Well we come here to escape the grand scheme so it's all good : )
