a curious thought i had about demons/ a demonic augment

i realized i dont know much about this part of terras lore and if there are actual demons or if anything you would call a demon in terra is just going to be the corrupted. if there are a seperate category of creatures akin to demons, it would be hella interesting to get some bad ass shit related to them maybe like a cleric augment being 'demonic' or maybe even a demonic race with some cool as almost burnt black skin and purple energy when they use their demon magic kinda like this





or maybe even some cool demon swords like









honestly im just a fan of the edgy kinda 'give up your own lifeforce or humanity for power type gimmic and would love a class built around the thought of either being demon possesed or having demonic blood and being able to channel that especially through weapons imbued with the souls of demons you have slain and stored in the swords to imprison them like maybe a fighter with a spatial storage where he stores endless blades with each one being mastercraft weaponry that has each taken on new looks after they have been imbued with demons souls where he just pulls out a different one to get access to different ability like maybe a fighter/summoner who simply can summon weapons to use that than dictate the abilities you get access to based on what you have summoned for yourself

tbf tho on that last concept, the staff have confirmed that at least transformation and i think also weapon summoning like that isnt something in the cards right now cause its too difficult to work in with the code probably because having no weapons and a bar full of summon abilities that than have to all be dumped as you than summon an sword into your inventory that than must be force equipped and also than give you a new suite of abilites is something i could see being too difficult to implement.

this is just an add on to another way a demonic augment could work where it could basically empower you to ignore LITERALLY ALL resitances but at the cost of most of your own resitances at least while you are using your demonic buffs and so as the tradeoff for just how squishy that would make you especially if it was really mana intensive to use, maybe it could play off a similar idea to how souls power dnd devils and demons (yes i know the difference) where perhaps your character builds up souls overtime and than using your more powerful abilities could cost souls meaning you could have to go around farming mobs without using at least some if not most of your abilites to build up the special resource that being souls which both allows for this full empowerment to go from just letting you ignore HALF resitances with a high mana cost to buffing it to be ALL resitances with both the high mana cost and a soul cost with more than that, to offset just how bad your survivability will be, there could even be a fun way you can use your souls to instead bring yourself back from the dead at a HIGH soul cost and mind you, thats not HEAL but insetad full blown only when you die and again, the soul cost would be so great that your not going to want to use that so either fighters with great mobility already or rogues and their stealth are going to be the best with this augment with ranged classes being good but probably only really good if they stick to super long range. hell there could even be some fun around the demon manifesting a weapon and armor still making it so you cant really wear gear to offset your trash health and resitances and instead have to take the speed buffs of the armor and use the class specific weapon to get its benefit.

both a yes and no with like this is what i was thinking on the demon front but than on the player side, i was think more like these sorta monsters possessing people and either granting them powers or ya know, the whole dragon style 'never let the bard near it' type thing if ya know what i mean......

also i will say that i do hope they release more racial skins for demons but just not the kickstarter backer ones not even cause i dislike them but because i stand by stevens 'people having shit you cant get anymore and just had to be there for' mentality ESPECIALLY for an mmo because it gives people reason to want to look for new shit in the game each and every day so they can find the cool shit and get the stuff that you just have to be there for
