Progression after lvl CAP

NoxVostNoxVost Member, Alpha Two
Hi dear community,

Are there any confirmed game mechanics, or what else could be in the game regarding the character progression over time.
After my character reaches lvl 50 (which may be increased in future expansions), what kind of progressions are still available to me?
- Crafting? I suppose to max lvl them not later than a year after launch with semi-relaxed gameplay
- Weapon skills? They will be maxed out during levelling.

What else left?

Personally, I love some kind of ESO stuff - constellations, etc. And ideally to have some kind of infinite progression, probably with exponential complexity

Wouldnt be surprised if gear progression takes for longer to max out than leveling progression

There's also the the weapon trees, if you're into trying out new things. Maxing each out for every character will take a while too, and then you can impress with your dual wielding mage and your scepter and wand warrior.

The big progressions paths are likely the religions and social organisations though, or the mariner classes if you're into naval content.

Collectibles too. Fashion is usually the true endgame.

Fashion shows! Instead of a combat arena, have a fashion (just in game costumes, no store costumes) arena. Go down the runway with all your bling on and awe all of the competition.

Couple things that worked as great time sinks in other games I liked that ashes could do is in Gardening and Animal Husbandry

FFXI had these rare ores you needed for the elemental staves in the game. think they took around 3 weeks before you could harvest and weren't even guaranteed after getting the more expensive saplings and right pots for them.

Breeding in Ark could be a full time job most of the time, breeding out stats. mutations, and colors would take a long time, hoping ashes has a similar system.

I hope we as players will be able to approach this MMO differently than most other MMOs. I want character/ adventuring level to be an afterthought to the core gameplay loop. Of course adventuring level will be important for player power, but I don't want everyone to consider rushing to max level to be the first and most important thing to do. I would like to enjoy my time in the game doing things besides grinding mobs and quests. But, we will see how Intrepid implements the game systems and how important being a higher level is compared to mid or low level gameplay systems.

you can still take your time and and enjoy the game doing things besides grinding mobs and quest, and at the same time I can enjoy the game in my own way rushing to max level ;3

everybody enjoys the game in their own way :P

I am open to have people rush to max level, as I expect most people will. My issue is when it feels like I feel far behind from everyone else and therefore cannot play parts of the game due to lack of population at my level. I'm thinking mid-level dungeons, or world events that are early or mid level as well. If Intrepid can create some sort of "scaling" (i know, bad word, but the basic idea) where a mid or low level player can have people to play with that are a much greater level would be nice, given that it will take a long time to level and some players do not have that much time to grind and race to max level.

i see what you mean, but worry not! most people wont get to max level fast. most people will take long to get to max level so you will always have people to play with (unless you log in 1 hour a month xd)
