Long live drama in AoC

DRAMA - the spice that other MMORPG development studios are afraid to use but which AoC will spice up a delicious and succulent dish

Many developers/writers are afraid to use DRAMA to give good development, maturity and growth to the MMORPG they are developing because that DRAMA can get out of control of an entire community so those developers/writers give their MMORPGS development, growth and maturity in a calmer way with much less drama or almost no drama at all to ensure they please all their players.

When was the last time YOU THE PLAYERS were really immersed and attentive to the growth, maturity and story development of your favorite MMORPG or that of your favorite characters?

When was the last time you really felt that you were in a MMORPG story where anything could happen to anyone regardless of the relevance of that character in that MMORPG?

When was the last time you saw a very important and beloved character die in order to give growth development to other characters or story of that MMORPG?

When was the last time you did NOT play a MMORPG where everyone would be a winner and the good person would always triumph because of the power of friendship and love?

When was the last time you played a MMORPG where you develop your characters in a mature way with positive events but also with many negative events ?

When did you as MMORPG players really get lost and let the development studios treat you like a child by giving you all the easy and mediocre happy candy to make you feel good about a story where your favorite characters will always have a 100% guarantee of success and where everything will be happiness, joy but no drama at all.

When did you really feel the DRAMA in a MMORPG story?

EVERYONE IS A WINNER a philosophy and way to develop a MMORPG because you are not good enough to develop, control and generate DRAMA that makes players be more aware of the events of that MMORPG either with positive events that attract the attention of a part of the players and with negative events that attract the attention of another part of the players.

The DRAMA that a MMORPG can generate will help the healthy growth of its sociability because that is what a society is about, nobody grows or improves when something is easy, nobody has a “character development” when most things are given away, the DRAMA is what will push players to want to move forward in a story that have them involved in suspense, concentration and waiting.

Does anyone remember the Prime of GAME OF THRONES ? That kind of DRAMA is what AoC should aim for. Having the AoC community PENDING WHAT WILL HAPPEN BECAUSE NO ONE KNOWS WHAT WILL HAPPEN ! HAVE THEM FEARING THAT THEIR FAVORITE CHARACTER MIGHT DIE! TO HAVE THEM ANXIOUS TO KNOW MORE! THAT'S THE DRAMA AOC SHOULD BE AIMING FOR!

Imagine generating so much drama that your followers are always watching to see what will happen in the MMORPG. https://youtu.be/sn8ptplqQ38?si=eCoxeA0b96hTGOHz&t=87

I completely agree with the idea that drama can be a powerful tool to enhance the storytelling and emotional engagement in an MMORPG. Games like Ashes of Creation have the potential to create immersive experiences by incorporating unexpected twists, challenging scenarios, and significant character developments.

Incorporating drama can make the game's world feel more alive and unpredictable, keeping players on their toes and invested in the storyline. It encourages players to care about the outcome of events and the fate of characters, much like in the prime of "Game of Thrones," where no one was safe, and every decision could lead to surprising consequences.

Moreover, drama can drive community interaction and discussions, as players speculate about future events and share their experiences. It can also foster a deeper connection to the game, as players feel a genuine emotional response to the unfolding narrative.

Of course, balancing drama is crucial. It should enhance the game without making it feel overly frustrating or hopeless. When done right, drama can provide a rich, engaging experience that keeps players coming back for more, eager to see what happens next in the ever-evolving world of Ashes of Creation.

    Interesting examples.
But when I read the description, I somehow started thinking about Marvel Studios and the new series Homelander.
There's nothing strange about being fed what we consume.
    But you are damn right!

This is the main thing, nobody wants to see characters die for the sake of dying, everything must have a sense and a plot or else this drama generates chaos in the audience.

A necessary death to give character development to several characters that needed a chance to shine, Varian's death was the "carbon" that was needed.

But not impossible to try B)

Although of course the "popular" things where everyone is happy and where everyone is pleased is something that " in general " sells more , ( although Disney is proving otherwise ) , there are projects that mark a gram moment by the drama they use .

Doctor House would not be Doctor House without the drama that surrounded that character.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gsNUS7PaAP0

What would be Sopranos without the drama that generated the family
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HHC33-CMXLE

What would Infinity War be if all the good guys won?
    https://youtu.be/6ZfuNTqbHE8?si=80v5c1oQTu4rTEhw&t=1

That drama, that thing that makes "mature" projects special is always there, even if it is a comedy, love story, fantasy, there is always something special that the "drama" generates.

Here's the thing , Ashes went into a state of TOTAL DRAMA that's good because Ashes has been taken out of it comfort zone it was used to ( all positive ) .

Ashes NEEDS to overcome this stage as a UNITED community where ALL the people involved and who want to see ASHES improve and grow will help in these DRAMATIC moments.

What is happening ? THAT IS WHAT IS HAPPENING NOW , many CCs are joining the battle to protect and care for Ashes , Ashes is starting to respond in a clear way , Steven is in the front giving the face as a leader would , ALL THANKS GENERATED TO THE DRAMA THAT HAS TAKEN ASHES OUT OF ITS COMFORT ZONE.
And others are exposing themselves by showing their true colors and giving Ashes shit to gain views (these ashes should not be considered and held in low esteem).

EVERYTHING IS IN ASHES' FAVOR IF ASHES KNOWS HOW TO USE IT FOR THE BETTER.

    Long live the Drama

From what i was observing the last 48 Hours, is that People who are now in Drama-Mode,

-> tend to not have listened attentively during the last Three Live-Streams/monthly Presentations,

-> have usually no Clue or Idea "what" Intrepid programmed and developed in the last five Years,

-> SOMEHOW MANAGED to always failed to listen during the last +10 Months when Sir Steven said several times over and over again, that this will be a true Alpha and NOT an Early Access Version of the Game : and that the only Constant* will be that everything is subject to change.

    Oh Booh hooh, (lol)

HOW DARE Intrepid not to bring out an Early Access Version of the Game now - in the next few Months ??
HOW DARE THEY to demand "MONEY" from us - to invite us in -> to VOLUNTARILY test the Alpha Two ??
HOW DARE they not releasing an unfinished Game the next Months so we can bitch and whine and quit the Alpha Two and call it a dead Game and never come back when the Game is finally finished ???

    You can never win with these Folks. You JUST CAN'T win. 😂 . 🤣 . 😂
