Amazing (Naval) Combat "epified" in Sea of Thieves beyond normal SoT Limits. And yet still small ...

This here is a somewhat "rare Video" (no Pun intended) - which shows a Group of amazing People who made the Experience of playing Sea of Thieves,

Yet it will STILL BE - inferior, compared to what Ashes of Creation Open Seas/Naval Combat will have to offer.

I want to mention here for Everyone who doesn't know Sea of Thieves,

-> The Sea Fortresses - are NOT able to get destroyed. I really hope everything involved in Combat with Cannons or other, powerful means of Firepower however, will be. Not just things like Node-Buildings/Walls.

-> You usually NEVER see such amazing Fights with even " Ten People versus Ten People " in Sea of Thieves.
Yes, it is a Sandbox Game. And very " consolery* ". But still. VASTLY small Numbers. Never huge Battles.

i saw this very entertaining and at times hilariously funny Video recently, which showed me an epic Battle ON THE SEAS, which i wished to see and be able to experience in Sea of Thieves for over Four Years now.

Here comes the Reason why i mention this in the Ashes of Creation General Discussion Forum.

- > I know that Ashes of Creation WILL - have the Ability for epic, huge Battles/Naval Battles, on the Open Seas.

If the maximum Number of Player-controlled Ships in Sea of Thieves is Six Ships per Server,
and if all of them would be "Galleons" with a Four Players Crew Size,

then the Maximum Number of Players on a Server is Twenty-Four Players, should my simple Math be correct.

Since a single Server of Ashes is supposed to be able to host Nine-TH~OOOUUUSAND Players in the finished Game, in case what i heard about 9K Server Populations is correct,

that will be THREE - HUNDRED,
and SEVENTY - FIVE - TIMES - > the Amount of Players a Server/Session of this still very popular Pirate Game, can host.

Doesn't matter if i will hear the " PESCAAA-RAAAIIIID "-Shouts from former ArcheAge Players or not - > the Epicness and the likely Fun and Entertainment it will bring with itself -> will be completely out of this World,

EVEN WHEN compared to this amazing Video here.

I recommend to whoever likes Sea of Thieves and reads this Comment here, to watch the whole Video.

It is "very" satisfying to watch as a Sea of Thieves Fan - and i love the Passion and "Role-Play" the People involved put into this nice, huge Event that the Players created by themself.

Where in the wide World of Verra - (on the Oceans

) - would You like to have your Naval Gameplay and Naval Adventures ?

I personally was entranced and bewitched by a few VideoGames by which i am confident - i was not the only One who loved these VideoGames very much.

-> One of it was Skyrim,
( igniting a certain Northerner-Love for the cold Climate and Viking-Feeling for me, in VideoGames )

-> Another One was Witcher III,
( also awesome Game - and "Skellige" ignited the Viking-like Feeling in me once again )

-> and the Adventurous and Naval Combat Part of the Pirate Game Sea of Thieves is also loved by me.

As i am a Fan of Piracy/Naval-Battle Gameplay,

-> and of both the "northern" Fantasies of both Skellige and Skyrim,
i wonder if i could see ever a huge Gameplay Community of hopefully several Thousand Players combine one or several Ashes of Creation Servers,

where we could realise and "live" such a cool Fantasy in the World of Verra.

I think one of the truly greatest "Threats" to such an awesome Fantasy ever coming true in a VideoGame like Ashes, is the "politically popular Hatred for white People" (

) and their Culture.

With great Hopes i shall - well, "hope" - that my Paranoia of to much Hatred having infiltrated the VideoGame World is just baseless Paranoia,

and that i will find one - OR SEVERAL Servers - enough People who still love the northern Viking-Fantasy.

Will we manage to find a few Communities great enough in " Kae'lar "-Numbers -> to build a few VERY northern looking Kae'lar-Structure Nodes in that Region ?

( I would already be satisfied with Villages like Winstead or Miraleth from the Live-Stream Presentations we already know. )

The only true Challenge is to get enough "Kae'lar" Players together to control/"decide" the hopefully then northern-enough looking Infrastructure of the Nodes.

Because i know People will play all Races everywhere. I just know it. But if our Nodes look to much Dwarvish like the Dünir,

or even cool, Persian-Style like the Vae'lune People -> or even crazy (tropic

) like the Nikua -> then this will look REALLY ridiculous in these coldest Biomes.

It would greatly increase the Hilarity ingame, though.

just at the Cost of the Viking Feeling.

And how will the Tulnar influence Nodes everywhere ? We will see. Apparently they are super-popular.

I am in love with at least Three different "Cosmetics" i am confident are all not available anymore. God damn it.

Okay this i read, is a " Ren'kai(?) " kind of Ship. But doesn't matter for me. It looks AWESOME !!

Then another One which the Necromancer inside of me is trying to squeal like a fangirl over, is this here. A Shame i can not get it anymore. I can oooooooooooooooooooonly hope that we can get Re-Colors/new Ones.

I don't always regret not having pre-ordered anything, but i'll make an Exception for this one.

( This is also one of the Reasons why i suggested once,
that we get a "Feature" in which People can choose "ONE" Skin of Everything per every Twelve, paid and played Months of Paytime. For Example a Freehold-Building. Or a Mount. Or a Shipskin. ) ... ...

Lastly, this is what i think would probably fit " Kae'lar " (northern), Viking-styled Pirates the best. Of Course it has to be a Longboat, right ? It just has to be.

And of Course, completely independent from all of these Ship-Skins and Models that no "normal" Person can ever hope to get anymore anyway,

of Course i hope that we Citizens of all different kinds of Nodes and Races -> can build Ships in different Models, Skins and "Looks",

i remembered that "Winstead" had very "Dragon-figurehead"-looking like, tiny Extensions/bits on the Buildings of their Kae'lar styled Node Winstead.
And of Course i hope we can let our Ships look just the same. While of Course i will still hope for Re-Colors of Pre-Order Stuff,

like for Example as "ghostly green", or "unholy purple"-kind of Re-Color for the " Ship of the Damned " and so on : i just hope that we get a huge Variety and Freedom to choose from, how we let our Ships look.

I know a few here kinda want to play a cool, harsh "Elf-Empire" - kinda(?) like the Aen Seidhe from Witcher Three. Dear Dripyula and "DarkSorcerer" seem to be in on this.

But i could imagine Naval-Piracy (Naval-Dominance ?) to be kinda tricky when courageous Elf Buccaneers don't even know for what kind of Ships to settle for.

I mean - these Ships can not be allowed to look "to fine and elegant", if they are supposed to be Battle-Ships for Combat and Plunder on the Sea's, right ?

I think this could get dear Intrepid into a bit of Copyright-Trouble.

But to be fair -> dear "RARE" has a Tribute/Cross-Over(?) into the Pirates of the Caribbean Franchise in Sea of Thieves - and was allowed to use the black Pearl Ship/Appearance.

Question is : will such Galleons (Three Masts) be in the Game ? While i think Yes - i would be amazed if we see even a singe Ship that will be a strong Look-alike of the Black Pearl.

I wonder how well / nice / amazing / incredible - the Transitions from the Oceans/salt Water,

into the Land will be. I am confident "Ships" will be able to cross a bit inwards/inland by entering into Rivers who stream into the Ocean - meaning entering Sweet-Waters for a bit,

but will not unlikely be to big for possibly somewhat flat River Waters, when the Ship has a certain Size.

Ohhh, i can't wait.
What for Wonders will we see ? What for amazing Landscapes/Coasts will Intrepid show us ?

Admitting i wasn't expecting this Topic here to be so shunned. When i know one thing, than that is that Nobody here apparently dislikes Naval Content, Piracy - and being excited for when we will finally see Biomes and Shorelines of Verra in the Alpha Two.

You're welcome. And the best is : they are actually ALL from Intrepid itself !! So we are not just looking at a beautiful "what could be" - > but an actual "what WILL be" -

We get annoyed one more time with a Woke WoW-Trailer/Cinematic before the Start of Alpha Two - but after this annoying Middle of the Year we will finally - "FINALLY" - be allowed to witness Greatness being completed and finished Step by Step.

When was the last Time People were actually hyped for an MMO instead of for more or less empty Promisses that never got fulfilled anyway ?

This sounds like there will probably be even more Ship Classes as the Game closes in to the finish Line of Vanilla-Ashes - and if it's more than Three Types - that means it will have more than in Sea of Thieves.

So we will see and have at least 5 different Types/Classes of Ships. I am actually not even feeling any Shame for not having known this until right now before i searched this on the Wiki a few Minutes ago.

We will able to put Cannons on at least Galleons and maybe One or several other Types. Not Rafts, most likely. Ferries also unlikely. (lol)

And Yes. It will come in Alpha Two. Probably half to later half of Alpha Two, but no Surprise it has to come before the Game is finished.

Merchant Ships ? Check.

Fisher Boats doing Pesca Raids ? Check.

And THIS here is from Livestream 28 June 2019. Who knows how marvellous this looks NOW ?? People can not honestly look at me with a straight Face and tell me they are not excited for this.

I hope we will truly see such amazing Lagoons, Embayments, Bays, etc. ingame. With high, rocky Formations where Ships can sail somewhat inland towards a beach. The piratish Feeling is strong within these.

And imagine a Worldboss like that Giant from the Riverlands, attacking one or several Player-Ships near the Cost by throwing huge Stuff at them.

Can we ask Intrepid for such things ? This would be awesome.

Will there really be "Coastal Nodes" ? Nodes bordering on the Oceans where technically, hostile Battleships could attack and bombard at least one Side of the Node from the Sea ?
