Any plans to add more flavour to loot?

Past few livestreams the main thing looted was "glint". Would be nice to see different items being dropped from different creatures, even if they are common, poor quality/value. I think this would help add a layer of immersion to the world and it's habitants. Was this mentioned at any point/is it being considered for the future?

They haven't really implemented proper crafting cycles, so no point in giving mobs proper loot. Glint is simply there to show that the looting system works

Glint is basicly ur miscellaneous merchant trash/coin drops from mobs with 2 options and the benefit of not cluttering inventory space, Selling it to merchant for straight up cash or purchasing trade goods to make more cash with extra steps.
since it count as a resource it will be dropped on death too like resources so it makes sense in that regards

That being said you as mention above you may see more drops in regard to crafting items when crafting loops are in properly

I think they have to have a more generic loot drop system because of how bags work.

depending on the mobs they will drop glint ,crafting material or certain mobs/bosses got a chance or can drop full items but generally its gonna be glint and craft mats

I think they are also trying avoid the thousands of pieces of "junk" loot that force players to constantly sort their bags and return to town.

Adding more variety and flavor to loot drops would be a fantastic addition to Ashes of Creation, providing an extra layer of horizontal content. It would enhance the immersion and depth of the game world, making different creatures and environments feel more unique and rewarding to explore. Encountering a variety of loot, even if it's of lower quality or value, can create a richer narrative experience and offer players more meaningful choices in how they interact with the game.

For example, finding distinct items from specific creatures—like rare herbs from forest creatures, unique ores from mountain-dwelling monsters, or enchanted relics from mystical beings—could create opportunities for crafting, trading, and storytelling. This approach can also encourage exploration and discovery, as players may seek out certain creatures or areas for specific items.

This kind of horizontal content is valuable because it doesn't just focus on the power curve but instead enriches the overall experience by offering a wide array of activities and treasures to pursue. It would be interesting to see if the developers have considered or plan to implement such a system in future updates.

crafting will require mats from the world including monsters but you arent gonna see a wolf drop a great sword , it will drop leather/fur/bones ..etc something that actually makes sense so yes , you will probably say need some sort of wood that drops from wood type monsters ..etc
