Glorious Alpha Two Testers!

Alpha Two Realms are now unlocked for Phase II testing!

For our initial launch, testing will begin on Friday, December 20, 2024, at 10 AM Pacific and continue uninterrupted until Monday, January 6, 2025, at 10 AM Pacific. After January 6th, we’ll transition to a schedule of five-day-per-week access for the remainder of Phase II.

About Us
We are the sons of iron; daughters of the hammer; the shield that stands steadfast, the warding presence. We are the winds of trade, the stalwart guardians of coin and commerce. Yet do not be misled—for we are the ghosts of the Dünzenkell, the wrath of the Jundark, the coiled serpent lurking in the shadows of the Sandsquall, ready to strike.


Blackrock Guard
Blackrock Guard is a PvP and Artisanship-focused guild. While we will participate in PvE content, as this is a PvX game, our primary focus lies in PvP, crafting, and trade.

We are a small guild founded by @FrootLoopJunkie, a seasoned leader with experience in a variety of games, from Star Wars Galaxies to World of Warcraft, leading everything from RP-focused groups to a realm top-7 progression guild.

We are a unified guild, split into three subguilds, each with its unique focus:

The Black Shields (PvP)
The military arm of Blackrock Guard, dedicated to PvP combat. The Black Shields lead the charge in battles and skirmishes, ensuring our dominance on the battlefield.

The Adventurer’s Guild (PvX)
Focused on PvE and PvP, this subguild coordinates quests, raids, and world content. They drive exploration, uncovering secrets and resources to strengthen the guild.

This subguild handles crafting, resource gathering, and trade. They ensure our guild thrives economically by providing gear, resources, and crafting expertise.

While not officially supported in-game, these subguilds work in tandem under the Blackrock Guard banner, ensuring a well-rounded and powerful guild.

Guild Website (Mobile Friendly in Landscape)

Playstyle: Lots of room for casuals and more "serious" players, our focus first and foremost will be on building an organic, self-sufficient trade sector, fed by itself and our players out progressing the world. This will necessitate a strong ability to project power to protect our caravans and traders. So we hope to offer somewhere for anyone, from Artisans just looking for a shield, to soldiers of fortune making names for themselves.

Our Role in The Ashes World

Blackrock Guard is primarily a mercenary guild, with a secondary focus on Artisanship. We offer a wide range of services, specializing in caravan and personnel escorts, and temporary sellsword engagements, while maintaining our independence by avoiding permanent military alliances.

Varied Missions: Engage in contracts ranging from strategic escorts to combat support, ensuring the safety and success of our clients.



For Artisans:

Unmatched Protection: Our Artisans receive free protection, whether accompanying caravans or gathering resources.
Quality Craftsmanship: In return, Artisans craft top-tier items for our members and support the guild's needs with their skills.



Alliances and Collaborations:

Business Partnerships: We are open to alliances with Artisan guilds to mutually benefit from each other’s strengths.
Military Neutrality: We strictly avoid permanent military alliances to preserve our autonomy.

My Qualifications

Many guilds will form at launch, but not all will endure. A guild requires strong leadership and experience to thrive. I am a long-time MMO player and GM, having run a 350+ member guild in WoW (Blackrock US, Follow The Forgotten). We boasted the most active max-level player base on the server for much of WoD. Additionally, I ran a successful raiding progression guild in Shadowlands and a guild back in SWG, giving me extensive GM experience.

Managing these guilds taught me many valuable lessons, which I will bring to AoC and Blackrock Guard. One key lesson has led me to rethink traditional guild leadership, detailed in the next section.

Final Notes

Currently I am looking for anyone who wants to see this built.

The structure of two councils within Blackrock Guard is essential for our operations. As our forces often move and take on contracts worldwide, this can lead to our members being spread out. The Order of the Shield shares the command responsibilities, while the Council of Equals handles diplomatic ventures and governance. Both councils are crucial for maintaining stability and effectiveness, ensuring that Blackrock Guard operates at its full potential.
