Basic attacks that are too flashy

First of all, please excuse my writing, English is not my language.
I know that work is being done on the visual effects of the animations but in the basic attacks I don't see any improvement.
Currently the game seems too flashy to me and part of that is the basic attacks - am I the only one who thinks they don't need those yellow lights that accompany the movement of the weapon? (attached image of a basic attack and its light).

I don't see the point of every arrow from an archer creating a yellow line across the screen. I think basic attacks should have 0 visual effects. Just the movement of the weapon, the hand and the sound effect is enough, don't you think?

Some people like those, and some people don't like them.

The flashy parts are slightly helpful for certain types of gameplay such as group combat in dark areas.

Intrepid has said that we will be able to adjust visual effects. It may become possible to choose an option causes these effects to not display for you.

If there is an option to turn off the visual effects on basic attacks, would you be happy with that?

Many are unhappy with how flashy the skills/attacks are, including myself, but during the last year they toned down many skills considerably, so I have faith they will do the same for the ones you've mentioned.

Also, Steven went out of his way before starting the showcase video that the VFX still needs polishing / toning down. They are aware of our concerns.
