Not possible to get into Alpha 2?

I have casually been following Ashes of Creation for years now but I never pre ordered or joined the kickstarter. I unfortunately backed Crowfall and Camelot Unchained instead. I spent a lot of money on Crowfall because it was being made by the former Shadowbane team which I had a lot of faith in. Unfortunately, it was a disaster every step of the way and is now dead. After getting screwed over with Crowfall I decided to wait much longer to pre order Ashes of Creation. Ashes of Creation never gave out dates and was seemingly following Crowfall's same path.

Now it looks like a playable alpha 2 is coming soon, the game looks much much better than the others but I'm not allowed to pre order it. Very frustrating.

Watch the announced AMA on Aug 16th for any details concerning A2 and possible access being sold again.

In the last live stream, they basically said that they are still figuring out how to set the price fairly for A2 access, but it will indeed be for sale again soon.

OP was wise to do a "wait and see" approach considering how many crash & burn attempts there are with startup gaming. It's probably a good sign they will re-open A2 sales because the technology has advanced and not because they are running low on funds despite previous comments of the game being fully funded.

Information about "when" - and possibly in single Digits of Weeks - new Alpha Two Keys will be available to get purchased, will come out on August 16th. (Hopefully, lol)

August 16th is when we find out when the new keys are available!

That keys will be on sale on Aug 16th. A ashes mod said so in the chat for the stream. My guess that's the real reason they took it down.

Fact is, this game needs more testers then most games at this stage. Node combinations, between race, node type, player progression, and all the ways players can interact with a node. How many players will it take to test all these options? My guess 10k players x 20 servers will just scratch the surface.
