Thoughts on the spellbook weapon.

I believe in the bard video the character was using a spell book as a weapon.
Im personally not a fan of a giant cartoon book floating off beside me. I'd perfer a more reasonable book, held in one hand at times and floating at others depending on the animations sure. But that book in the video was literally bigger than the dwarves kit shield.

It's also not a good looking silhouette with your character. If you drew a basic shape of your character along with their sword/staff, you'd see there is somewhat of a weight balance, a very narrow triangle shape. If you drew your character along with the spellbook, It's EXTREMELY front heavy due to the massive book being 6ft in front of your character.
Perhaps Intrepid Studios could consider offering different visual options or skins for spell books, allowing players to choose a design that better fits their character's style and the overall fantasy setting. Customization in weapon appearances could help cater to a wider range of player preferences while maintaining the integrity of the class's visual identity.
It should start floating if you unsheathe it or you are in the combat, but still not engaging mobs.
What I think is far MORE imporatant is for the Character to be animated more to look like they are AWARE that the book is even their. An arm should be going out to flip pages or be under the book, not touching it but seemingly levitating it over an open hand, the head should actually move to apear to read from the book etc.
Basically the current book looks to have a been a way to skip doing any character weapon-weilding animation and this makes the book seem more like a magical familiar which is hovering near the player then a weapon the character is weidling. I think this is actually the root of most of the negative vides people have but they don't know how to put it into words.
