Walking is useless! Unless...

Hi !

In most games, the walking function is absolutely useless (except for immersion, RP and sometimes discretion).

I imagine a utility found in the case of a MMORPG: accelerate regeneration.

I think it would break what we are used to seeing in games, which is characters running around in a world where all the NPCs run. Why not give them the opportunity to eat while moving, provided that it is walking?

This would be the idea:
Sit + food: reg ++++
Walk + food: reg +++
Sit: reg ++
Walk: reg +
Run: low reg

I like the idea that players we meet have other rhythms than running > eating > running > eating, and playing on those rhythms could be part of the optimization.

HF !

    Is it okay to count "Jumping Puzzles" into discretion ?

    Because what you said is completely correct. In many to most Games, you use normal(slow) walking instead of running mostly for Roleplay and Immersion.

    And thanks the VideoGame Gods for this Option.

    Some useless things aren't a waste of dev time really so it's not an issue. let's say the game has a slow down effect so you already have a set speed and animation for it, walking is just enabling that effect.
