have a bad feeling about alpha 2 keys

Since 20 august 2022 i am owner of the aplha two key package .... and back then it was pitched as exclusive way to get access to the game in the alpha state .... to hear steven now talk about ... paraphrasing here ... " yeah we need people to have a way to access the alpha"

Steven sold me the alpha two package by promising that there wont be any other way to get access to the alpha..... i didnt care about the damn cosmetics ... i didnt want to purchase almost a year of gametime ahead of time or ingame currency.... i wanted to get access to the alpha ... and that was your pitch back then .... to be able to access the alpha you must buy a 250$ pack there is no other way ...... now ... i can buy a 120$ key and get in ? and additionally i was expecting alpha 2 to be persistent ... so that was the reason i wanted access at that stage .. so ill get that for just 100$ now .... .... total fail on keeping your promise ... feel really that i got scammed ...

now i hear stuff like ... yeah we will give those original backers two weekend access before the new alpha two keys ... but EVERY FREAKING ONE will get access to the persistent alpha day 1 ...... wth ...

so i payed 250$ for 2 weekend exclusive access ? ..... what a joke

i know everyone feels different about this ... but i feel betrayed

obviously will still play it and still looking forward to see the project shape , but my feelings towards steven dropped heavily....

if he would have kept his promise.. i would have been willing to actually buy a lot of stuff in the cash shop later on ...
but now its clear he is just a good salesman and not better than any other publisher that trys to rip me off ...

after this i will just try to get the most of my 250$ and play for as long as i can for free and after that .... if the game is actually the holy grail .....i will decide if this game is worth a monthly description ... but since he did not uphold his promises so far ... we can obviously expect this to be a pay to win shit show in no time ,,,,,..... bc why not make more money right =?

You payed also $90 for monthly subscription.
250 - 90 = 160
160-120 = $40 cosmetics and embers
You can say the cosmetics were $0
But you got $100 embers not $40! So you were rewarded for taking the risk sooner when others were undecided.

With those embers you will be able to get monster eggs too.

i knew that someone would make a case about what else was in the pack ..... totally ignoring what i wrote ....
the pitch was that there wont be another way to get access to alpha2 if you dont buy this package ,,,... so whatever else was in that package is irrelevant to make the case ...

obviously the 250$ package has other stuff in it ... but obviously you can buy the key now without the other stuff ... i already send an email to our institute of "costumer protection" they will take a look at this ...

edit: im actually not pissed .... just disapointed

edit: i maybe missunderstood things and there is a possibilty that everybody else didnt think of these packs as the only way to get into alpha 2 ... but i got that impression back then ... and now i obviously fell bad bc it is not like i thought ... i feel the need to check if the impression i got actually was real or not ... and if it was actually said that these packs are the only way to get access i feel betrayed now

I understand that. I am a bit too. Just that I try to see the good parts of the deal.
People who get the keys now want the $250 packs. You want theirs. Some say even $100 is too much for an unfinished game.

I don't care about cosmetics either.
The game would be for me better without them.

You supported the game early on, fully knowing what exactly you'll get for your money. The access only costed $20.

The $120 people got fucked over SO DAMN HARD that Intrepid completely went back on their monetization of these keys, made them into a bundle THAT IS NOW FUCKING OVER BETA BUNDLE PEOPLE, all while still having keys at a higher price that other bundles

This whole fucking thing is just an ouroboros of people getting fucked over. Intrepid should've simply put out the cost of $120. Give access from oct25 and do nothing else. Now they're neckdeep in shit.
